Saint-Julien - Château Léoville-Poyferré 1994
The domain
With origins dating back to the beginning of the 17th century, the Second Grand Cru Classé Château Léoville Poyferré is one of the most prestigious properties in the appellation Saint-Julien, on the Left Bank of the region of Bordeaux. Having entered the bosom of the Cuvelier family, Didier Cuvelier took over the reins of the Saint-Julien property in 1979, orchestrating the estate with a masterful hand.
From great terroirs are born great wines. With a vineyard bordering illustrious neighbors such as the Châteaux Latour, Pichon Baron And Leoville Las Cases, Château Léoville Poyferré has an extremely renowned terroir. Sitting on lean soils of Garonne gravel, the vine finds all the conditions conducive to its development for exceptional Crus.
