Côte-Rôtie La Turque - Domaine E. Guigal 1996
The estate
The Domaine E. Guigal was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis. His son, Marcel, took over in 1961. Today, the 3rd generation continues the legacy and values of this iconic family estate in the Rhône Valley.
Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, the E. Guigal estate oversees a mosaic of vineyards located in many appellations that form a range of wines of impeccable quality.
Over the years, the E. Guigal house has experienced significant growth, notably becoming the owner in 1995 of the famous Château d’Ampuis, as well as several vineyards (Jean-Louis Grippat, domaine de Vallouit, Domaine de Bonserine, and Château de Nalys in Châteauneuf-du-Pape).
The Côte-Rôtie "La Turque" is one of the flagship wines of the Domaine Guigal. A powerful wine with spicy notes, its brown slope terroir with blonde accents gives it great elegance.
