Dom Pérignon Brut 2000 Magnum
The estate
Dom Pérignon is a famous Champagne brand owned by Moët & Chandon. Its origins date back to the Abbey of Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers, in the north of France, the 'cradle of Champagne'.
If Dom Pérignon takes its name from a legendary Benedictine monk Pierre Pérignon, it is today its cellar master Richard Geoffroy who represents it best, leading this champagne to absolute heights of balance and consistency over the past twenty years. The ethereal effervescence, the great finesse of texture, and the toasted flavor come as much from the undeniable quality of the grapes as from the winemaking expertise and the rigor of this character who has built and maintained the image of this mythical champagne.
In the darkness of the cellar, inside the bottles, each vintage will undergo a slow transformation in contact with the yeasts. It will take no less than 8 years of elaboration to achieve balance, a harmonious dialogue of the character of Dom Pérignon Vintage.
