The estate
A nature lover, Steve Bettschen is primarily a great wine connoisseur after eleven years spent at a renowned Swiss wine merchant. Called by the land and production, he buys his first vineyard in 2007.
Surrounded by the best winemakers from the Romandy region, he becomes a winemaker-cellar master and quickly increases his production, also thanks to the purchase of grapes from friendly winemakers.
The PHUSIS range designates the wines from its own vineyards: Clos du Mormont (La Sarraz / Côtes de l’Orbe / Vaud) – Orny (Côtes de l’Orbe / Vaud) – Sensine (Conthey / Valais). The metaPHUSIS range is made from grapes or wines purchased from respectful winemakers whose work and plots are known to Steve Bettchen.

Tasting: beautiful golden color, quite deep. Nose of red berry coulis, peach melba, white pepper, dry wood. Wide entry on the palate, a bit reserved. Quickly, a beautiful acidity accompanies the body, reveals the aromas, and guides the wine to a clean, dry, flavorful finish, without sugar but with surprising and puzzling sweet wine characteristics. |
