Pessac-Léognan - Château Pape Clement 2018
The domain
With its vineyard established in the 13th century, Château Pape-Clément, flagship of the Bernard Magrez vineyards, is clearly one of the oldest Grands Crus of Bordeaux. To develop these colossal wines, archetype of the great luxury Bordeaux, no detail is overlooked: optimal maturity of the grapes, destemming by hand, the most careful aging... The result is unique reds for the Pessac-Léognan appellation, voluptuousness close to Mission Haut-Brion wines, and whites with exemplary finesse.

Tasting: very complex nose, incredibly deep, the toasted notes are discreet, lots of black cherries, tea, leather. The palate is very well structured, showing power and pressure, while remaining elegant, juicy, with lots of tannins and a fine acid structure. Long and fruity red on the finish. Confirms the good impression of En Primeur and should provide pleasure sooner than expected.. |
