The domain

Pomerol is a town in Libourne, on the right bank of the Garonne. The Pomerol protected designation of origin vineyard covers the entire town and also extends for 176 of its 800 hectares to the neighboring town of Libourne, of which Pomerol is the historic vineyard. Bordered to the north by the Barbanne stream, a former linguistic border between Gascon, in Pomerol, and Saintonge patois to the north, the Pomerol appellation adjoins Saint-Emilion to the east, in the region of the graves of the Cheval Blanc castles. and Figéac.
The vineyard of Chateau La Fleur de Gay is currently highlighted by the Raynaud-Lebreton family, descendants of a line of Pomerol winegrowers dating back to 1772 but settled in the town since at least 1477. The ancestors of the Raynaud-Lebreton family, Mathelin and Michel Barraud have indeed received , on this date of the order of the Hospitallers of Saint-Jean-de-Jérusalem, for exploitation, of the lands in the center of the plateau of Pomerol. This tenement of the barrauderie corresponded to the lands of the current Pétrus, châteaux l'Evangile, la Conseillante, Gazin, Petit Village and Vieux Château Certan.
