The domain

The 13 hectares of vines of Clos of the Oratory are located at northeast of the Saint-Emilion plateau and consist mainly of a mixture of sandy and clayey subsoil. It is one of the few wineries that already ferments its wines in wooden barrels.

Le Clos de l'Oratoire is a very famous Grand Cru Classé, located on the northeast slope of the Saint-Émilion plateau, 2 km northeast of the town of Saint-Émilion. The estate is part of the wine portfolio of the von Neipperg family, who are perhaps best known for their flagship property: the Chateau Canon La Gaffeliere.
