Domain committed from the first hour so that Champagne becomes again "The great wine of Champagne", each of our cuvées explores a new aestheticism and delivers a strong message going well beyond the simple repetition of ancestral gestures of the winemaker / craftsman erasing behind mother nature; and totally the opposite of industrial simplification stripping these gestures of their substance in favor of mass production.

Listening to the lessons of history without fearing revolutions, Pinots Noirs and Chardonnay are revealed only in the heart of noble materials: Argonne oak barrels, terracotta or sandstone.

Tasting: Just covered with a gold leaf Argonne shelters the fusional link, between vine and forest, of the two great historical terroirs on which Champagne and its aura were built in the 18th century. It tells of the symbiosis between the wine of Aÿ and the forest of Argonne whose large oaks raised all the wines of Champagne until the middle of the 20th century. Sébastien Le Golvet is certainly today the only Cellar Master who masters this living relationship between delicate wine and new oak barrels. Only very great vintages can preside over the prolific union of beauty and the beast. Thus are born exceptional works that are quite singular and unique in Champagne. The grapes come from a mythical parcel in Champagne: Les Valnons. Located in the heart of the Aÿ Grand Cru terroir just below the Châtillon coast, the Chardonnays from the Croix-Courcelles plot complete the blend. |
