The Estate

Founded in 1974 by Alain and Josie Labet in Rotalier, in the South Revermont, Domaine Labet is a family business deeply committed to its terroir. Today, the Labet siblings Julien, Romain, and Charline cultivate a 13-hectare vineyard together, divided into 45 parcels spread across four communes and thirteen different named plots. Located about fifteen kilometers south of Lons-le-Saunier, this patchwork of parcels benefits from complex geology that gives the wines a wide range of expressions.

The estate has chosen a “Burgundian” approach: each named plot is vinified separately, topped up (without adding sulfur or allowing oxidation), to reveal the distinctive character of each terroir. The wines are made from a single grape variety, and white wines dominate production. The family has also converted the entire vineyard to biodynamic farming, embracing precise viticulture that respects the environment.

Domaine Labet has established itself as one of the Jura’s most iconic producers, notably with its “Fleur de Marne” (old-vine Chardonnay) and “Fleur de Savagnin” wines, which express the characteristic minerality and finesse of the South Revermont. The estate is regularly cited among the leading names in peasant Jura and natural wines.
