Cotes du Jura 'Cuvée du Hasard' Vin de Voile - Domaine Labet 2015

The Estate

Founded in 1974 by Alain and Josie Labet in Rotalier, in the southern Revermont, Domaine Labet is a family-run estate with a deep attachment to its terroir. Today, siblings Julien, Romain and Charline Labet cultivate a 13-hectare vineyard together, divided into 45 parcels spread across four communes and thirteen different named plots. This patchwork of parcels, located about fifteen kilometers south of Lons-le-Saunier, benefits from complex geology that gives the wines a great diversity of expression.

The estate has chosen a “Burgundian” approach: each named plot is vinified separately, topped up (without adding sulfur or allowing oxidation), to reveal the unique voice of each terroir. The cuvées are made from a single grape variety, and white wines account for most of the production. The family has also converted the entire vineyard to biodynamic farming, embracing precise viticulture and respect for the environment.

Domaine Labet has established itself as one of the Jura’s most iconic producers, notably through its “Fleur de Marne” (old-vine Chardonnay) and “Fleur de Savagnin” cuvées, which express the characteristic minerality and finesse of the southern Revermont. The estate is regularly cited as one of the leading names in peasant Jura and natural wines.
