Côtes du Jura 'Fleur de Savagnin En Chalasse' - Domaine Labet 2018

The Estate

Founded in 1974 by Alain and Josie Labet in Rotalier, in the southern Revermont, Domaine Labet is a family-run estate deeply committed to its terroir. Today, siblings Julien, Romain, and Charline Labet work together to cultivate a 13-hectare vineyard divided into 45 plots, spread across four communes and thirteen different lieu-dits. This patchwork of plots, located about fifteen kilometers south of Lons-le-Saunier, benefits from complex geology that gives the wines a great diversity of expression.

The estate has chosen a “Burgundian” approach: each lieu-dit is vinified separately, topped up (without adding sulfur or allowing oxidation), to reveal the individual voice of each terroir. The cuvées are made from a single grape variety, and white wines dominate production. The family has also converted the entire vineyard to biodynamic farming, embracing precision viticulture and respect for the environment.

Domaine Labet has established itself as one of the Jura’s most iconic producers, notably through its “Fleur de Marne” (old-vine Chardonnay) and “Fleur de Savagnin” cuvées, which express the characteristic minerality and finesse of the southern Revermont. The estate is regularly cited as a benchmark for the Jura’s peasant wines and natural wines.
