Gantenbein Pinot Noir - Weingut Daniel & Marta Gantenbein 2024
The Estate
The valley of Grisons in the Rhine, with its spectacular landscapes, specifically the small wine village of Fläsch, serves as the setting for the Gantenbein winery. The planting in 1982 by Martha and Daniel Gantenbein of the first Burgundy clones on six hectares marked the beginning of the adventure. Now, the estate is primarily dedicated to the production of Pinot Noir, with smaller areas devoted to the cultivation of Chardonnay and Riesling. The focus on quality extends into the cellar where the grapes and juices are moved by gravity, using the natural pressure of the earth to avoid the use of pumps and filters. In addition to its fine Pinot Noir wines, the estate offers more exclusive cuvées of Chardonnay and Riesling.
