The domain
Château Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarosse is a Premier Cru Classé B in the heart of Saint-Émilion. It is owned by the Duffau-Lagarrosse family. since 1847 and 9 generations, each one having at heart to perpetuate the domain. Today, two cousins are in charge, Christophe Redaud and Vincent Duffau-Lagarrosse. The vines, a jewel of 7 hectares in one piece, are rooted in a hillside exposed to the wind and the sun, with clay-limestone or limestone soils which are perfectly suited to the 3 grape varieties grown by the estate, the Merlot and the two Cabernets. The first represents 81% of the plants, leaving 16% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, with vines around 40 years old.
