Pauillac - Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2010 - Magnum
The domain
Grand-Puy-Lacoste is not in the hands of a large group, it is a purely family owned since 1978. Jean-Eugène Borie, a lover of vines and the Médoc, acquired it in 1978 and immediately gave carte blanche to his eldest son François-Xavier, who gradually renovated the château and the technical installations. Today, Emeline, his eldest daughter, works alongside him.

Tasting: The Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2010 composed of a very large majority of Cabernet Sauvignon (83%) offers a deep red color. The bouquet reveals aromas of very ripe blackcurrant, slightly spicy revealing the beautiful maturity of the grapes. The attack on the palate goes crescendo, suave then dense, it continues with a powerful balanced tannic structure. The precise and complex whole, coated with a beautiful freshness and a very long aromatic persistence, gives a lot of class to this great vintage. 2010 will undoubtedly be part of the beautiful history of the mythical years of our vineyard. |
