La Leux - Maison Glandien 2021
The estate
Tino Kuban, a well-known young Berlin winemaker with his Les Jardins Vivants estate, has also set up his own négociant house, Maison Glandien, alongside this demanding work.
He sources grapes from partner winemakers and friends in various wine-growing regions, including Burgundy, Beaujolais, Alsace, and the Jura. In recent vintages, some of the cuvées have even come directly from his own grapes at his Les Jardins Vivants estate. In every case, he seeks grapes grown using sustainable, responsible viticulture, in keeping with his high quality standards. During vinification, spontaneous fermentation, keeping sulfites to a minimum, and aging in used barrels ensure authentic, delicious wines.
These wines have been a great success and are particularly hard to find.

Tasting notes: A cornerstone of Burgundy's wine-growing landscape, the Pinot Noir selected by Maison Glandien has benefited from meticulous, precise viticulture that respects organic farming principles while taking a natural approach. Its small, tightly packed clusters produce an authentic, delicious cuvée from vines that thrive on clay-limestone soils. The carefully harvested Pinot Noir grapes, picked at optimal ripeness, are sorted and taken to the winery. The winemaking process is traditional and natural, with inputs and human intervention kept to a minimum.
