In 1985, during a hunting trip, Ferruccio Ferragamo discovered an area of ​​nearly 700 hectares in the village ofThe Borro, not far from Florence. Captivated by the beauty of this small medieval village located in the Valarno region, he finally bought it in 1993. The vineyard - currently 45 hectares located at more than 300 meters above sea level - expresses the best of this terroir shaped by the movements of the great lakes which covered the vineyard in the Pliocene era. The estate is surrounded by splendid ocher and pink houses which have been marked by the history of great families Tuscan such as the Pazzi or the Medici.
