Pinot Noir Sur Le Fil - Steve Bettschen metaPHUSIS 2021

The domain

A nature lover, Steve Bettschen is first and foremost a great wine connoisseur following eleven years spent with a renowned Swiss wine merchant. Called by the land and production, he bought his first vine in 2007.

Surrounded by the best French-speaking winegrowers, he became a winemaker and quickly increased his production, also thanks to the purchase of grapes from friendly winegrowers.

The Phusis range designates the wines from its own vines: Clos du Mormont (La Sarraz / Côtes de l’Orbe / Vaud) – Orny (Côtes de l’Orbe / Vaud) – Sensine (Conthey / Valais)

Its production from the purchase of grapes is called metaPHUSIS.

Format : 75 cl

Swiss country

Region: Neuchâtel (Vin du Pays Romand)

Culture : bio

Grape variety: This vintage comes from a large limestone terrace located at a place called Les Plantées, on the heights of Landeron, in the canton of Neuchâtel. The lower part of the vine is around sixty years old and made up of a truly very diverse massal selection: almost no two individuals are the same!

Tasting: Light color, raspberry tint. Intense, the nose evokes small red berries, oak moss, vanilla as well as a roasted note reminiscent of coffee. Light mouth from the attack. Lively, tonic, filiform body, surrounded by slightly grippy tannins. Finish with both intense notes of red fruits and this slightly vegetal tannic sensation. This wine, interesting in terms of its aromas, remains a little angular and not very fleshy on the palate. Drink a little chilled when it’s hot! (January 2023).
