Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve - Château Rayas 2009
The domain
Emmanuel Reynaud takes over the castles Stripes, of the Tours and of Fonsalette following the death of his uncle in 1997.
Prior to his succession, Emmanuel was already operating the Domain of Tours where he created the winery and developed marketing in 1989.
At the heart of the southern wine appellations of the Rhone Valley, Emmanuel Reynaud offers its wines under the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée.
The Tours Castle located at the bottom of the appellation Vacqueyras in the Sarrians sector is a large property with around ten hectares of vines, woods, agricultural land and olive trees.
The cultivated varieties are Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah for red and Grenache blanc, Clairette and Marsanne for white.
Its wines with the singular expression of Grenache, balanced and complex with incredible fruits are sold at Château Rayas.

Tasting: the intensity of the nose, with its bouquet of flowers, black raspberries, kirsch, orange peel, cherries and thyme, is a good starting point.
