Arvine Marsanne - Steve Bettschen PHUSIS 2021
The domain
A nature lover, Steve Bettschen is first and foremost a great wine connoisseur following eleven years spent with a renowned Swiss wine merchant. Called by the land and production, he bought his first vine in 2007.
Surrounded by the best French-speaking winegrowers, he became a winemaker and quickly increased his production, also thanks to the purchase of grapes from friendly winegrowers.
The phusis range designates wines from its own vines: Clos du Mormont (La Sarraz / Côtes de l’Orbe / Vaud) – Orny (Côtes de l’Orbe / Vaud) – Sensine (Conthey / Valais)
Its production from the purchase of grapes is called metaphusis.

Tasting: Light yellow, bright, limpid. The first nose mixes notes of citron zest and vanilla. Then come the balsamic, bark, soft wood and finally peach nuances. Juicy, textured, tender and straight on the attack, the palate takes on evolving tension to move towards a substantial finish with invigorating flavors and a long aromatic afterglow reminiscent of the Orient and sweet spices. To leave for a few years in the cellar or to decant for at least 3 hours. |
