The domain
The origins of the Noble House of Gassies in Medoc date back to medieval times. Sir of Rauzan acquires the seigniory and its vines at the beginning of the reign of Louis XIV. Thanks to his winemaking know-how, he will make wines from Rauzan-Gassies the first of the second growths of the parish of Margaux. With an excellent terroir, the wine is elegant and has a floral aromatic palette, signing its character.

Tasting: the cru has a beautiful deep dark color with purple hues. Intensely aromatic, the nose opens with notes of black fruit, kirsch cherry, blackcurrant and sweet spices, punctuated by delicate floral notes with scents of rose, mint and chocolate. With class and elegance, the mouth reveals a delicious framework of ripe tannins, with a grain of great finesse and coated. Deliciously fruity, the mid-palate shines with its freshness. The length of the finish ends with fragrant notes of black fruits. A very great vintage from Rauzan-Gassies. |
