6 x C.O - Gantenbein - Martha and Daniel Gantenbein 2011

The domain

The Graubünden valley in the Rhine with its spectacular landscapes, more precisely the small wine-growing village of Fläsch, is the backdrop for the Gantenbein cellar. The planting in 1982 by Martha and Daniel Gantenbein of the first Burgundian clones on six hectares marked the beginning of the adventure. Now the the estate is mainly devoted to the production of pinot noir, with smaller areas devoted to growing chardonnay and riesling. The concern for quality extends to the cellar where the grapes and juices pass by gravity, using the natural pressure of the earth to avoid the use of pumps and filters. In addition to its fine wines made from Pinot Noir, the estate offers more confidential Chardonnay and Riesling cuvées.
