The estate that originated the famous Sassicaia, the 'Supertuscan' Sassicaia is now considered the highest expression of Italian winemaking, for the level achieved and its consistent quality, the result of many years of research on a terroir - Bolgheri, on the coast of Maremma - and a grape variety, Cabernet Sauvignon, which has made its founder a true pioneer of quality wine production in Italy.
