Bourgogne Côte d'Or Rouge - Domaine Cecile Tremblay 2023
The estate
The Cécile Tremblay estate is based in Vosne-Romanée and has a very limited surface area of 4 hectares, comprising prestigious plots spread across several appellations, including the Grands Crus Chapelle-Chambertin and Echezeaux du Dessus, as well as Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, and Nuits-Saint-Georges. In total, the Tremblay Cécile estate offers no fewer than 11 appellations, but in very limited quantities. It seems that the Cécile Tremblay estate may soon reclaim a few additional hectares of vines whose leases have expired. In fact, Cécile Tremblay is Henri Jayer’s grandniece, and at the age of 26, she established her own estate in 2003, starting with a vineyard holding inherited from her grandparents.
