The Estate

Always family-owned, the house Louis Roederer relies on a rare vineyard, beautifully located with a high proportion of vines classified as Grand cru (70%). Despite the global success of Cristal, its prestige cuvée, the Roederer house has always refused to engage in a race for production quantities, preferring to maintain control over a supply that is almost exclusively based on owned vineyards (a rare exception at this level!). The result is champagnes that are very focused on purity and integrity, with wines that gain immense complexity with aging: do not hesitate to cellar each cuvée, as the character of the terroirs and the finesse of the vinifications reveal themselves in a spectacular way over time!

The Product

A true technical feat that requires great expertise and draws inspiration from the jewelry tradition, the Louis Roederer medallion bottle is made of a latticework in 24-carat gold. The 2002 cuvée presents a jewel-like appearance, revealing its multiple facets through the many reflections created by this sensual and eternal openwork cover in gold powder. Each medallion bottle is entirely handcrafted, requiring the skills of 2 master goldsmiths, 12 trades, 7 meters of 24-carat gold-plated brass ribbon, 158 silver solder points, and 4 days of work.
