Champagne Louis Roederer - Cristal Rosé Brut Vintage 2012

The domain

Always family, the house Louis Roederer leans on a vineyard rare, admirably situated with a high proportion of vines classified as Grand cru (70%). Despite the global success of Cristal, its cuvée of prestige, the House Roederer has always refused to embark on a race for the quantities produced, preferring to remain in control of a supply that relies almost exclusively on an owned vineyard (an exception at this level!). The result is champagnes very focused on purity and uprightness, with wines which gain enormously in complexity with aging: do not hesitate to put each of the cuvées in the cellar, because the breed of the terroirs and the finesse of the vinifications are revealed in a way spectacular with time !

Format : 75 cl

 Country: France

Region: Champagne

Culture : aconventional agriculture

Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir

Tasting: salmon pink color with golden reflections. Regular and ultra fine effervescence. A restrained bouquet of rare elegance. The subtle and evanescent aromas come in the form of delicate perfumes, so intertwined and complex that it is very difficult to describe them.

Releasing the fine tangy, fresh and precise notes: citrus zest, yuzu, fruits of the forest, mandarin, raspberry, wild strawberry, then the toasted nuances and almonds and finally the fresh and vegetal notes of verbena and bergamot.

Loose mouth, animated by an effervescence of incredible finesse: the bubbles lighten the substance and the fruity texture. The dominant impression remains the serenity, the delicacy of the fresh fruit and the strength of the tangy freshness of the chalk. The finish reveals a magnificent evanescent length.
