Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Ruchottes - Domaine Ramonet 2022 Magnum
The Estate
A legendary estate in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, Ramonet Estate enjoys a worldwide reputation among serious wine lovers. Founded in 1920 by Pierre Ramonet upon his arrival in Burgundy, the estate quickly earned recognition in France and abroad. Pierre Ramonet exported his wines throughout the world and supplied Michelin-starred restaurants from the interwar period onward. Today, Pierre’s grandsons, Noël and Jean-Claude Ramonet, perpetuate this reputation and expertise by preserving the winemaking techniques and style passed down from generation to generation. Ramonet Estate is therefore considered one of the most respected names in Chassagne-Montrachet.
The 17 hectares of vineyards tended by the Ramonet family for three generations are located between Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. These plots, spread across more than 24 appellations, lie on exceptional terroirs. Chassagne-Montrachet is a land of white wines. Thus, Chardonnay and Aligoté are the main grape varieties cultivated. They account for 10 hectares of the total production. Pinot Noir and Gamay occupy the 7 hectares of vines dedicated to the red wines of Ramonet Estate.
