Châteauneuf-du-Pape - Château Rayas (red) 2006
The Estate
Emmanuel Reynaud took over the Rayas, des Tours, and Fonsalette estates following his uncle's death in 1997.
Before taking over the estate, Emmanuel was already managing the Domaine des Tours, where he established the winery and developed sales starting in 1989.
In the heart of the southern wine appellations of the Rhône Valley, Emmanuel Reynaud offers his wines under the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée designation.
The Château des Tours, located at the lower end of the Vacqueyras appellation in the Sarrians area, is a large estate with around ten hectares of vineyards, woodland, agricultural land, and olive trees.
The grape varieties grown are Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah for the red wine, and Grenache blanc, Clairette and Marsanne for the white wine.
His wines, with their distinctive Grenache expression, balanced and complex with incredible fruit, are sold at Château Rayas.
