The domain

Founded in 1868 in Côtes de Nuits by Francois Leroy, winegrower and merchant, the Leroy House embodies the quintessence of great Burgundy wines.

World famous, adored by all the great critics and tasters of this world, Maison Leroy is considered a myth of Burgundy. It's in 1919 that Henri Leroy got involved in the family business. Thanks to him, Maison Leroy will experience a meteoric rise. The Leroy family will become co-owners of the iconic Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in 1942 which will become a real gem.

Maison Leroy is inevitably associated with Lalou-Bize Leroy, grande dame of Burgundy. Lalou Bize-Leroy becomes co-manager of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in 1974 until 1992 alongsideAubert de Villaine. Unparalleled taster, Lalou Bize-Leroy fascinates with its unique and singular vision of Burgundy. With a perfect knowledge of the terroirs and extremely perfectionist, Lalou Bize-Leroy established herself as a pioneer by initiating biodynamics in her vines in 1988.

Owner of 21 hectares 99 ares and 66 centiares, Domaine Leroy owns 9 Grands Crus, 8 Premiers Crus, 9 Villages and plots in generic appellations.
