Côteaux Bourguignons - Domaine Prieuré Roch 2022
The estate
Owned by Henry-Frédéric Roc, co-manager of Romanée-Conti, the Domaine Prieuré Roch is one of the jewels of Nuits Saint Georges. It cultivates a small dozen hectares by applying the principles of organic farming. The yields are significantly lower than those usually practiced in this appellation, ensuring the exceptional quality of Prieuré Roch wines. The grapes from the domain Prieuré Roch are vinified in whole clusters, meaning not destemmed. The domain Prieuré Roch works small plots like Hautes Maizières, Clos Goillote, and Les Suchots in Vose-Romanée but also grand crus like Clos Vougeot and Chambertin Clos de Bèze. Further south, it benefits from a Nuits Saint Georges premier cru in monopoly Le Clos des Corvées and a few ouvrées in Clos des Argilières. It has also acquired 2 hectares in Ladoix where it produces a white Burgundy wine and a red Burgundy wine.
