The domain

In 1978, the bubbly and brash Jo Pithon launched his first wine estate, Domaine Pithon, in the Anjou appellation of the Loire Valley. In 2008 he reimagined the family business to form Pithon-Paillé and now, in 2019, Jo has made the difficult decision to sell the estate to a new, yet deeply dedicated owner: Ivan Massonnat. Although he is no longer officially at the helm of the estate, Jo will remain heavily involved in decision-making, as well as in the production of some of Pithon-Paillé's most famous wines. The arrival of the young but immensely talented Adrien Moreau was the final piece of the puzzle for Domaine Belargus.

Grape: Chenin		Tasting: This cuvée comes from a blend of parcels from the estate bordering the Layon, spread over three villages: Beaulieu-sur-Layon, Saint-Lambert du Lattay and Saint-Aubin de Luigné. This superb mellow white is characterized by its balance and great freshness, carried by notes of fresh fruit and citrus. The mouth, suave and enveloping, is supported by a fine acidulous sensation. The 110 grams of residual sugars are perfectly integrated and give a tasty white, smooth and without any heaviness. A wonderful success
