On the terroir above the village of Aniane, Laurent Vaillé produces one of the finest wines in Languedoc across several garrigue plots in the Arboussas massif, at a place called Tourtou. Situated 250 to 300 meters above sea level on a windswept massif, Arboussas is a garrigue of white oaks and strawberry trees, resting on a slab of lacustrine limestone, white as a salt desert.
