Emmanuel Houillon - Pierre Overnoy Arbois-Pupillin Ploussard - Trousseau - Cire Violette 2020
The estate
The "mythical" Pierre Overnoy took over the family estate in 1968. The estate Pierre Overnoy is located in the small village of Pupillin, situated 3 km south of Arbois in the French Jura, where Pierre Overnoy particularly distinguished himself by vinifying his wines without the addition of sulfur since 1984, to the point of becoming an icon of natural wine.
It was the physicist Jules Chauvet, a talented taster and the father of the natural wine movement, who inspired him with his sharp approach and introduced him to the winemaking practices he has remained faithful to.
