Gevrey Chambertin - Domaine Armand Rousseau 2023

The estate

The Armand Rousseau estate is located in Gevrey Chambertin, which was established in the early 20th century by Armand Rousseau, who decided to sell wines directly in the 1920s. It encompasses more than 15 hectares, including 8.5 hectares of Grands Crus and 3.8 hectares of 1ers crus vinified using sustainable agriculture, with vines on limestone and clay-limestone soils.

Six iconic Grands Crus of Burgundy are produced by the Armand Rousseau estate: Chambertin, Charmes Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Ruchottes Chambertin, Mazy Chambertin, and Clos de la Roche. The estate's wines are concentrated and sensual, aged for more than 20 months after 2 rackings, with a potential aging of over 20 years for the Grands Crus and over 15 years for the 1ers Crus.
