IGP of Hérault - White - La Grange des Pères 2015
The domain
The rarest wine in Languedoc!
Laurent Vaillé develops, on the soil above the village of Aniane, one of the most beautiful wines of Languedoc on several plots of scrubland, in the massif of Arboussas, at a place called Tourtou. Located between 250 and 300 meters above sea level on a windy massif, the Arboussas is a scrubland of white oaks and strawberry trees, resting on a slab of lake limestone, white as a salt desert.
The white from the Grange des Pères delivers very beautiful aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits, flinty notes. On the palate, there is freshness, fat and fullness and the long finish reveals beautiful empyreumatic notes. A magnificent white from Languedoc, so harmonious. Made from Roussanne de Marsanne and supplemented with atypical grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Gros Manseng, it was aged in barrels for 24 months.
