La Moiré - Maison Glandien 2022
The estate
Tino Kuban, a well-known young Berlin winemaker with his Les Jardins Vivants estate, has also set up his own wine merchant business, Maison Glandien, alongside his meticulous work there.
He sources grapes from partner winemakers and friends in various wine-growing regions, including Burgundy, Beaujolais, Alsace and the Jura. In recent vintages, some of the cuvées have even come directly from his own grapes at his Les Jardins Vivants estate. In every case, he seeks grapes grown using responsible, sustainable viticulture, meeting his high quality standards. During winemaking, spontaneous fermentation, minimal use of sulfites and aging in used barrels ensure authentic, flavorful wines.
These wines have been a great success and are particularly hard to find.

Tasting: Maison Glandien’s La Moiré cuvée is a Vin de France made primarily from Aligoté grapes grown on around one hectare of Burgundy vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand early in the morning to preserve their freshness and quality. The wine is made naturally, with spontaneous fermentation and no added artificial yeasts, and minimal use of sulfites. The juice is then aged in used oak barrels, allowing it to mature gently without imparting overly pronounced woody notes. |
