Margaux - Château du Tertre 2006

The domain

The grape varieties present in Tertre Castle, 5th Grand Cru Classé of the Médoc, are 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The 50 hectares of Chateau du Tertre are located on one of the highest gravel hilltops in the Margaux appellation. Since its acquisition at the end of 1997 by Eric Albada Jelgersma, considerable investments have been made, thus sublimating this exceptional terroir of rare homogeneity.
