Pauillac - Château Batailley 1995
The estate
The name of Château Batailley refers to the Hundred Years' War, during which a battle was fought in 1453 on the estate's land. Château Batailley became a wine estate from the 17th century. This 5th Classified Growth in 1855 is produced in the Pauillac appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux.
The wines of Château Batailley are balanced and exude intense fruit aromas. Rich and deeply colored, these wines improve in quality over the vintages.
