Pauillac - Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 'Lacoste-Borie' 2005
The Estate
Located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux, the Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste took its current form in 1855, although it was built as early as the 16th century. The vineyard property was marked by the tenure of Raymond Dupin from 1930 to 1978. He then transferred ownership to the Borie family in 1978, who have since carried out numerous renovations. The Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is now one of the most representative wines of the Pauillac appellation.
Lacoste-Borie is the Second Wine of the estate. The vines, averaging 38 years old, are planted on deep gravel rises.
