Pomerol - Château la Fleur-Pétrus 1961
The domain
The Chateau Fleur-Pétrus, with land plots “La Fleur” and “Pétrus”, took its name in the 18th century. Jean-Pierre Moueix made this historic property on the Pomerol plateau his first wine acquisition in 1950.
The vineyard is mainly composed of Merlot, which brings its suppleness and generosity. The Cabernet Francs contribute to the whole with their rigor and complexity.
Today, the vineyard of Chateau La Fleur-Petrus consists of three large plots located at an altitude varying from 33 to 38 meters.
