Founded in 1868 in Coasts of Nights about Francois Leroy, winegrower and merchant, the Leroy House embodies the quintessence of the great wines of Burgundy.
Renowned worldwide, adored by all the great critics and tasters of the world, Maison Leroy ranks as a Burgundy myth. It's in 1919 that Henri Leroy is involved in the family business. Thanks to him, Maison Leroy will experience a meteoric rise. The Leroy family will become co-owner of the iconic Domain of Romanée-Conti in 1942 which will become a real gem.
Maison Leroy is inevitably associated with Lalou-Us Leroy, great lady of Burgundy. Lalou Bize-Leroy becomes co-manager of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in 1974 until 1992 alongsideAubert de Villaine. Outstanding taster, Lalou Biz-Leroy fascinates with its unique and singular vision of Burgundy. With perfect knowledge of the terroirs and an extremely perfectionist, Lalou Bize-Leroy established herself as a pioneer by initiating biodynamics in her vines in 1988.
Owner of 21 hectares, 99 ares and 66 centiares, Domaine Leroy has 9 Grands Crus, 8 Premier Crus, 9 Villages and parcels with generic appellations.
