The estate
An agricultural engineer and oenologist, Viscount Louis-Michel Liger-Belair founded the estate bearing his name in 2000 to take over the vineyards his family still owned. Over the years, he has made a name for himself in Burgundy by producing high-quality wines. Today, he cultivates hectares of vines in Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Flagey-Echézeaux, among other places. The estate comprises 12 appellations in total and has been certified organic since 2011 and biodynamic since 2012. From the outset, Louis-Michel wanted to pursue environmentally friendly viticulture. He continues this approach today, and it has contributed greatly to the estate's good reputation.

Tasting: Vosne-Romanée La Colombière comes from predominantly clay soil with some traces of limestone and vines averaging sixty years old. This wine is representative of the Vosne-Romanée appellation, with aromas of red fruit, a pronounced velvety texture on the palate, and lovely roundness. |
